The Finnish word KURU refers to the deep valley / glen
between two mountains.

Over the years we have built custom basses from standard vintage styles
to extreme customs, always trying to find the best and
today's way of doing things. Our new bass series has been developed
with the same "high-end" standards and ideas than our guitar models.
Once again these words: playability and diversity have been the
main reasons to design these models.

The most important fact is that we wanted to desing a bass with a 35" scale including a better balance than you usually find in basses with a longer scale or with more than 4 strings. We also wanted to design a bass model which goes together with many different types of music, from jazz to heavymetal.
Modern 5-screw neckjoint maintains easy playability
for all bass virtuosi out there.

The Kuru series features Hipshot parts and it is available with many
different pickup options. The basic model comes with Lundgren pickups.
Bartolini pickups and Glockenklang preamps are also available
for this model as a custom option. The hipshot D-tuner is also one of its cool options. The Kuru series is available with 5- or 6-stringed versions, and as a fretless version or with 24 frets.
